The Boat

Night Heron is a Jupiter 31 foot center console, powered by twin Suzuki 300 horsepower motors. The legendary ride of the Jupiter will take anglers anywhere they want to go in comfort, with the speed to get you there and back while wasting very little of your precious fishing time. The boat is equipped with state of the art marine electronics from Raymarine, an enclosed head in the console, and a full complement of safety gear. All tackle is provided with top of the line Shimano reels and custom rods, as well as a full complement of fly gear.

Striped Bass Charters

For striped bass and bluefish charters we can take as many as six passengers, however we recommend a maximum of four due to the size of the boat and in order to maximize fishing potential for all.

Rates:

  • Four hour Striped Bass and Bluefish $475
  • Six hour Striped bass and Bluefish $750
  • Eight hour Striped Bass and Bluefish $950

The boat is equipped with soda, water and ice, as well as some snacks, please bring your own food.

Bringing coolers on the boat is not necessary as we have plenty of space for you, however if you plan to bring fish home please bring a cooler in your car and we’ll be happy to ice it up when we get in.

Tuna / Offshore Charters

For tuna we take no more than four, as some days we will be riding home with more than a thousand pounds of fish on deck.

Rates:

  • Tuna: School or Giant Bluefin - full day at least 10 hours $1400
  • Cod and Haddock eight hours $1000
  • Shark Fishing eight hours $1000

As per federal regulations all tuna over 73” must remain property of the boat and will be sold. Charters who land a Giant over 73” will receive 20% off the trip. Tuna retained under 73” will be kept or released at the discretion of the charter, as per current NMFS regulations. We will clean any fish the group should choose to take free of charge.

The boat is equipped with soda, water and ice, as well as some snacks, please bring your own food.

Charter Policies

A deposit of 50% is required to reserve a day.

All charters booked for Night Heron Fishing for which a deposit is taken are subject to the following policy; cancellation of a trip due to weather or fishing conditions are at the sole judgement of Capt. Nat Moody. In this instance clients may rebook without losing a deposit to a future available date that season or a following year. If a client chooses to cancel, ten days notice is required prior to the scheduled date, and deposit will be returned in full. Any client cancellation after one week previous to the trip will forfeit the deposit.

Alcohol is permitted onboard, however overindulgence will not be tolerated and will result in the termination of the trip.
